I started making jewelry as a fundraiser for my son, Cameron, who has Cystic Fibrosis. There is a book and movie about a little girl, named Alex, who had CF. One day she was shopping with her mother and found earrings that were very big and extravagent and asked her mother to get them. Her mom said, "These earrings are just so pretty and magnificent that I would never have the occasion to wear them." Alex said, "Oh yes you will...when they find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis and we have a big family party and get all dressed up - you can wear them then." How could her mother say no? This inspired my CF mothers support group, "Steel Magnolias," to make earrings as centerpieces and auction items at a CF gala. I decided to continue making earrings and other types of jewelry to raise money in honor of my son and others with CF. Please help me to make CF stand for Cure Found!

Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Jewelry

Most jewelry has purple beads in it. Some look darker because of the lighting, but they are a shade of purple.
